Default Vag-Com won't read, already replaced radio fuse, airbag light on

Help! Two people with vag-com's were unable to connect to my car, the port is dead. I changed the fuse in back of the radio, which was burnt out, but that did not fix it. any other ideas? i dont have a cd changer (symphony radio with no changer) so no fuse there right? I do still have an airbag light on - could this be related? thanks!

What exactly does the message say when they try to connect?

Default Can you communicate with other control modules?

If you can communicate with everything except the airbag module then your module is fried and you need a new one. Otherwise, check the diagnostic fuse on the fuse panel.

Default Sometimes that happens when you have a bad ABS module. Does you ABS and brake...

light come on and beep at you at all? You could also take off the kick panel under the steering wheel and see if the OBDII wiring is properly connected to the port.

Try posting in the VAG-Com area, they answer quickly.

Default No ABS problems, just "AIRBAG" light. I will check the

physical connection to the port as you mentioned. what else...replace the radio? it's working fine now though after replacing fuse. are there other fuses i could check besides the bank just inside the drivers door? and it seems the Airbag light is an electrical problem, i think it must be related somehow but how can you fix it if you cant connect a vag-com. i'll try reconnecting everything under the seats, as some have suggested for the airbag light problem.
