Default valeo aero wipers seem terrible

a lot of people seem happy with valeo wipers' performance. i hadn't really had a chance to test them out except once in a mild drizzle that lasted less than 1 hour. they seemed fine.

last nite i had a chance to drive in the rain. nothing drastic. it was on route15 (merrit parkway) thru connecticut. it's a divided 2 lane highway.

without any traffic they seemed ok. passing cars was a bit difficult because the wipers seemed to have difficulty cleaning the overspray. with oncoming traffic, it just highlited how absolutely terrible their performance is. they just seem to smear the water.

they seem to work well the first 30min, but somehow they get progressively worse.

i made a video. 12sec 2.85MB: <a href="http://bagodoosh.home.comcast.net/s4/wipers_videonly.wmv">link</a>.

It's your windshield. Clean with clay bar on a warm day.

also if it hadn't rained in a while the spray would be oily, smeared all over, = crappy performance.

Default I too am not impressed at all with my Aero wipers. They were good the first month...

I wonder if Rain X'ing will help or make it worse?

My main problem is chatter not really smearing.

Default it was rain-Xed last year. it's been cleaned with windex every month.

i do plan on <a href="http://www.properautocare.com/polishglass.html">polishing the glass</a> in a couple weeks. we'll see how it'll work out.

Default I have the OEM ones, and LOVE em, they work great!

I then got the Bosh ones for my EVO, work great on them. Since I'm in the NW it well, rains a lot.
