My V1 (purchased over a year ago, and out of warranty) began to go nuts lately. It would detect major false alarms when there was no source around. It would also emit a constant BEEP after 2 minutes of being turned on.
I sent it in to Valentine saying that this just happened all of a sudden. They fixed it and overnighted it back to me, completely free of charge. I would have expected this if the unit was still under warranty, but it was not. Kudos to Valentine Research.
