very rough start and idle when starting car to leave work
I thought 100 octane mainly affects cold starts? I have no problem starting the car in the morning. While starting the car to leave work, it takes a few cranks to start, then sputters pretty bad. It seems like it's running rich for a few seconds. Once I get moving it runs great.
I hate to fill with 93 octane to rule out the 100 as the culprit If 100 octane gas is the problem I'll just let the starter crank more..

Same here, but it seems to be only a problem with a cold start...
as soon as it's running, it's fine. And "cold" here can mean 80+ degrees in the morning. Maybe if it were colder, I'd have more noticable symptoms...

Is it true that on a cold start with 100 octane (race gas) in the tank, you'll have trouble starting?
