Does anyone smell a slight oil smell coming from their engine when the car is hot? I recently had the oil changed at the dealership but I see NO evidence of any oil leak or burning of oil under acceleration. In addition I see no noticeable change in the oil level? May be just coming from the hole the dipstick goes in but not sure. I open up the hood after running it and that is the ONLY location I can smell any oil smell. I have also crawled under the car and removed the air damn...no evidence of any leak.

Thoughts?

I had a very minor oil leak (upper oil pan) - just a few drops would appear on my garage floor in the period of about a week. Still, my oil level had remained the same for 6 months.

I don't think that is the source of the smell.

I wouldn't worry about it, but keep your eye open for leaks and oil level anyway.

This happened to my S4 soon after the oil change. The oil smell went away after a few hundred miles.
