VM3 Question #2 of 2:
My exhaust sounds awesome when the car is warming up. However, once my oil temp gets above 200ºF, I start getting strange crackling sounds from the VM3.
Here's how I get the crackling sounds:
1. Get car warm.
2. Get RPM's above 3000 in ANY gear.
3. Let car coast while in gear from RPM's achieved in #2.
Without fail this makes my car sound terrible from inside (don't know how it sounds from outside the car). I can't explain the noise any better than a "crackling" sound, which is not a very good description but it's the closest word I've got to the sounds that are coming from my S's *** when she's hot.
Any advice? Could be related to my air leak addressed in my previous question, no?

it's ok if it gurgles (crackles?) after shifts.don't worry about it..it sounds cool as hell anyway,
at least i think so. and it's not related to your leak if i think i know what you're describing
