Want to test max boost...Have boost gauge...What gear and rpm should I try to reach?

take it to WOT in 2nd or higher...and a question?
and watch for max boost.
i'd be interested in knowing if you get minor spiking at WOT?
for example, sometimes when i go WOT in 2nd or higher i get a short instance where the gauge goes up to 17-20 psi then levels off around 14-15 psi about 1/2 second later. i don't know if this is gauge backlash since the boost builds so rapidly or if it's actual boost.

Do a 35mph punch in 3rd, and a 60mph punch in 6th.....that should allow you to see
how much your car will spike. You can run to 6500 in 3rd and see what the boost levels off to....but I don't know if you want to try the pull in 6th to 6500....might be going a little fast there on the highway. :-p
