my bros wife used to have this POS chrysler that always said, "the door is ajar" when the door was open...we made a joke out of it...is it a door, or a jar??

You probably need a new door switch/plate.

Default The door latch switch sticks. Spray LIBERALLY with PB Blaster or some other good spray lubricant.

Get it up into the door from the latch area. Worked for me.

door latch.
