to me, if i was a dealer, i would rather take a 200 or so loss on a speaker and stand by my brand rather than lose future business from a previous customer and his relatives

inspected ones. This isn't just about one car at one dealer; AoA should realize that it's about tarnishing the CPO reputation of Audi as a whole. AoA has very specific and aggressive sales targets for CPO'ed vehicles, and if the CPO process is just a wave of the magic wand, then their reinsurer will raise the price and all of us end up getting screwed in the long run just because some dealers want to make a fast buck.
This really is a policy type thing and AoA should be involved, but they should put all the heat on the original CPO'ing dealer - not the one who is fixing it now. If someone needs to get spanked, its the dealer who botched the inspection. BTW, tales like this are a lot more common than they should be...
