is the standard washer fluid in the s4 a special audi formulation (i've never noticed that strong alcohol smell with other washer fluids)? my low washer fluid icon is beeping away at me and i have not had time to go to the dealer to get more (and to get my flat repaired). so, my question is:

any recommendations for alternative washer fluids?

heh, my dealer just put some water in there for me i bought some rainx stuff from walmart.

That rainx fluid really does help witht he longevity of the rainx

I haven't gone through the stuff that comes with the car yet (what's the deal with having to dilute it?), but once I do I'll be putting in some washer fluid with rain-x in it. I had that on my old (very non-//S) car and it worked great. I don't recall what the brand was, maybe it was actually made by rain-x, not sure, but it definitely contained rain-x and was pretty good.
