A brand new 05 Crown Vic Police Interceptor tops out at 128mph. This is a considerably lighter car than what the police use since it doesn't have any of their department's crap in it. Also, it doesn't have ANY LIGHTBAR whatsoever. So one of the police cruisers would be heavier and less aerodynamic. Look at the trap speed of the Interceptor... 85.93mph. Even a TIPTRONIC S4 traps at 95-96. A 10mph difference in trap speeds is huge. Then look at the 0-100 number for the Crown Vic: 23.30 seconds. An S4 needs only around 15 seconds. The S4 will also see 140+ MPH no problem. In fact, haven't some stock S4 owners on here reported top speeds of 150-160+? There's no way the Crown Vic could come even close to a stock tiptronic S4. And you're talking about a 6spd S4 with a "weak chip?" LOL, the S4 would be bus lengths ahead.

You think he made the story up to get attention from people. You backed it up with research, charts and figures. You win. And the guy got all that attention you accused him of lying to get in the first place.

He should have at least made it a bit more believable... But you still believed it. LOL. You should put your S4 back to stock and just buy a Crown Vic. Because if a stage 2+ S4 got beat by 3-4 cars, your S4 with K04s, RS4 ICs, etc. would probably be roughly dead even with that cop car! He might even pull you actually! So you spent all that money for nothing. Why not just sell it, get a Crown Vic, and mod it? Can you imagine how much faster a Crown Vic with just a few bolt ons would be than your Stage 3 S4?

"TOP SPEED TEST OBJECTIVE
Determine the actual top speed attainable by each test vehicle within a distance of 14 miles from a standing start.
TOP SPEED TEST METHODOLOGY
Following the fourth acceleration run, each test vehicle will continue to accelerate to the top speed attainable within 14 miles from the start of the run. The highest speed attained within the 14-mile distance will be the vehicle's score on the competitive test for top speed."

In this hypothetical 14-mile race, I'd probably be 3-4 miles ahead of one of those cruisers when I crossed the 14-mile mark, and easily put another mile on them by the time they crossed the 14-mile mark (if my engine or turbos hadn't grenaded by that point that is).

being nice and assuming the top speed happened shortly after the 120mph point.
I wouldn't want to deal with a officer who had to chase after me for 14+ miles though :O
