Water in passenger side rear footwell!

Several times after a hard rain the carpeting is soaked. Could this be the same infamous problem w/ VWs were a drain tube is blocked? Has anyone else had this experience? Any other ideas?

Sounds like it to me. I had this issue but one day it cleared up.

somewhere below the windshield there should be a hole to let water out, it's clogged!

Yes, it could also be water carried into the cabin via wires that you have fished through the

firewall. Boost gauges, stereo power wires, etc. If you're done anything like that in your car, that's the first place I would look. If not, start hunting for clogged drain tubes (sorry, I don't know where to look for those).
