Default Water spots from washing?!?

Help! Just washed my new Santorin for the first time. Did it in the sun, which I know you're not supposed to do, but it's unavoidable at my house.

I now have water spots all over the car, including windows. They don't really seem to want to come off. Did a search and saw people had problems with Nogaro, anyone have this problem and find a way to get rid of the spots?

Thanks.

Try waxing or rewashing with a little vinegar in the water.

Default It's a pain but....

Wash it, chamois it, and then hit it with some of that McQuire's spray detail stuff... works great on my A4 and, dare I say it on this hallowed ground, my Grand National. Those pesky water spots vanish and the cars look great!

3M and THE WAX SHOP also make pretty good spray on products for that final wipe down after washing.

Vinegar is good at removing hard water spots but it will also remove the wax so keep that in mind.

I also use a quick detailer after drying.

A California Water Blade will also speed up the drying process and is less likely to leave spots. I use this often on the top surfaces for that reason.

Have you tried their, hmmmm what is it, glaze or quickie wax stuff... (maybe Superglaze?) looks like coffee with a ton of cream in it... wash the car, apply the product to the entire car, and wipe off... super nice shine and no dust at all... I swear by it, especially on black...

Default Just wash the car again in the shade. Those water spots are a result of the...

chlorine/flouride and other chemicals they put in tap water. Those spots are typically cloudy unlike rain water spots which pit the paint and do more damage.

I wouldn't use chemicals to remove them, just wash it again in the shade or in the AM before the car gets real hot, they will come off.

Never hose your car off without drying it, bad!!

Use a leaf blower to get rid of excess water accumulation before it dries.
