Hi all,
I recently had a set of Stasis suspension installed on my car and once in a while I hear and "feel" a short noise kinda "clang" coming from the front driver side only.
It doesn't seem to be related to my driving on a bump or pothole or anything. As a matter of fact it happened at about 1 mile/hr while I was backing out of a flat parking space....
I'm 800F and I am temporarily running wide tires (255/35/18).
Any ideas?
thanks,
-G

It seems to happen for no good reason...
Also fenders have been rolled/stretched so it should be fine.
Also I went on the track with the exact same setup and I don't remember noticing any rubbing/noise or anything disturbing at the time.

I'm thinking maybe the tire is catching/rubbing the spring. I've never heard of it happening before, probably because the stasis springs are narrower than most. But there aren't many people running a 255 tire either...so depending on the wheel offset, this could be the issue? A *clang* is definitely a sound a spring makes when you knock it against the shock body.

I am not sure how low I am, I think it is close to what Stasis recommends. It definitely doesn't look too low.
Thanks a lot.

When my shop put in my C/O's, I had teh same thmp noise. The left front, forward bolt had stripped! These metal bolts are tightend into an aluminum mount, that is above you strut, mounted at the top of the fender.
I'd have the place that did the install give it a look, and they could probably fix yu right up.
