Default well I have some questions

today at work I had a lot of time on my hands so I researched all possible reasons for why my "stock" S4 is spiking boost at 12psi (about .8 bar). After a little perusing I put a few things together and decided that there might be a possible MBC (manual boost controller) that lies beneath the engine of my car. That could be a possible explanation for the higher boost than stock (8psi). Today my room mate fixed his little G-Tech device and we did a few runs. His 2004 S4 did best 5.07 0-60. I did one run and hit 5.12 0-60.......Comments will be welcome. The list of my performance mods are as followed:
APR Bi-pipe
710N valves
Neuspeed exhaust
RS4 clutch
I've been reluctant to chip the car because I have an extended warranty and would like to utilize it to it full.

Did you buy the car used? Perhaps it's already chipped? What does it taper to?

Default An MBC would not raise boost from stock. It can only reduce/limit boost.

.8 bar is not extremely high. My car spiked to 11 psi stock. Boost can vary with climate. On a warmer day you will see higher spikes than you would on a cold day.

Default yup, i wonder if anyone has ever used a piggyback fuel controller like they do in the Japanese cars.

I've been experimenting with this a bit. anyway, i'll let everyone know how it goes.

If you removed the N75 with stock software, you car would be really unhappy about it.

Default I wasn't implying that you should. I was simply saying that you could raise boost with a MBC as you

stated that it would not raise boost from stock.
