I never had it on my sedan with chip and stock exhaust. Seems like there is no conclusive combination that causes it or doesn't cause the sound.

APR chip, DPs, exhaust, cats in... no sandblast. I heard test pipes cause it?

Default The test pipes with APR downpipes are an all together different issue, thats sonic resonance.

As I understand it, there are two different noises, caused by two different configurations. The sandblaster noise is caused by running a chip with stock downpipes. The test pipe issue is a rattle at specific rpms (approx 2800) with APR test pipes installed.

Quick Reply: Well, I now have experience with the sandblaster sound. APR chip and APR exhaust.
