Default Well, it looks like this old timer may be getting an S4 for a project car. Here are my planned mods

& would love any input. I haven't quite kept up on the 2.7TT development but have been doing some searching. I'm planning to start w/ the suspension then adding the HP. Just stage 1+ for now. KO4s probably in the future unless neilm gives me a ride soon and convinces me otherwise!

BTW, I may only do a track event once or twice a year so I want the suspension to be daily driver friendly but will perform & look better than the stock ride.

I had the AWE DTS on my Avant & loved it. Do people run the APR snub mount & a DTS or just one or the other? Are H Sports necessary w/ the Stasis suspension?

Suspension - Stasis Street Sport, H Sport swaybars (front & rear)

Drivetrain - Toy Guy SS, AWE DTS, APR snub mount?

Wheels/Tires
18” Oettinger RZs or Sportec Mono 10s or BBS CHs
235/40-18 summer tires
Snow tires on stock wheels

Engine - GIAC chip,710N DVs, Kevlar TBB

Exhaust - Borla Gen II

Cosmetic stuff
M3 lip spoiler
RS4 grill w/ painted surround
Carbon Fiber trim
Black alcantara inserts
Harwire V1
Tint • already done
Clear corners • already done

Brakes - Nothing planned yet until I toast the stock stuff

Default I was thinking that, but car most likely has been abused

and I like doing some of the stuff. :-) If I found a great modded car, I'd be interested.

Default it can be hard to tell if a car has been abused..but just becasue it is modded does not

mean it has been beat up. There are many people out there that like the processing of modding a car and babby it.

Even if a car has been driven harder then normal does not mean it is a bad purchase. Take my car for instance...it is extensivly modded and I do drive it on the track....however, I drive it as smooth as possible which does two things 1. faster around the track and 2. easier on the car. Heal toeing to save the gearbox and clutch. Smooth brake and steering inputs to save bushings and joints. How you drive a car hard is important to having it last. Additionally, maintence is vitally important....I change my oil after every event and change gearbox and diff oil after every 3 events. Not to say my car is not seeing wear...becasue it is, but over maintaing it will help in the long run.....just my thoughts on the subject.

Good luck

Default Just gotta know the kinda person you're buying it from...

...and then there'd still be plenty of "stuff" for you do to mod it even further.

Default While we are on the topic....what do people consider abuse? Subjective is it not? To me it is

5000 rpm clutch drops
driving the car over 4000 rpms most of the time.
not maintaining the car.
not warming up and cooling down the car properly.
and not washing it at least once a week

and I am sure there is other stuff, just can't think of it currently

Default True. I've seen a few modded ones for sale in the classifieds

and they are asking nearly full price of the mods on top of finding a good stock car.

If that's the case, my car is constantly abused. It rarely gets washed.
