Default also the water lines have crush washers, you can just crank em down tighter and the leak should go

right away with no more issues. crush washers rule

Default Completely understandable, many of us travel down that very same path, especially with these cars...

being at least 6 years old. But IMO, it is well worth the money, time and effort to take the car to stage 3.

Default That's not physically possible

There is no way you can remove and install a set of turbos with the motor and subframe intact. You couldn't physically get to the coolant line bolts, let alone take the entire turbo out.

Default I knew this would cause a stir.

I couldn't believe it, but he did it. I saw him do it. I wanted him to pull the motor, but he disagreed. This wasn't his first time doing this either. That's just what he wanted to do. I personally didn't see the point of keeping it in, but whatever.

He's not Asian, but German.

He charged me $2500 labor to install the K04s, clutch, and timing belt kit. I believe this was a good/fair deal and the only drawback is that it took him 3 weeks since he worked on my car in between other jobs.

Really good mechanic with tons of experience in Germany with street and race cars.

I'm baffled. Does he have rubber for hands?
