It has been a while since the last page update even though we have been shipping the latest version of the kit software for many, many months.
As several owners have posted on this forum, the latest software is a powerhouse.
And it is now available in GIAC Switcher format as an add-on package of program.
The latest power figures have been confirmed on several cars that we have dynoed in house:
460 crank hp / 455 crank tq on 93 octane
525 crank hp / 550 crank tq on 100+ octane
If you have purchased the kit from us or one of our authorized dealers in the last 7-8 months, you have the latest chip program, so no need to update.
The latest chip file number is 143M11A.A7A. To confirm your part number, you can refer to the decal on the chip itself, or the documentation that came with the chip. If your ECU was flashed instead of having the chip soldered into it, then you have the latest file.
We have several hundred kits in use now, and many of them were sold through our authorized dealer network. While we are attempting to contact current owners of the kit in need of updates, it will take us a while to do so.
Also please note that while we have not advertised it previously, all installs of this kit done here at AWE Tuning come with complimentary free custom tuning on our AWD dyno to optimize the performance to your individual car.

We have run several stock S4s to come up with this correction factor.
Even though we prefer to state wheel power numbers (which are also on the site), the inevitable question is always "what does it make at the crank?"
Plus, wheel power numbers vary from dyno to dyno, comparisons of wheel power only do not do justice.
The very best way to compare across chassis dynos is to ask what a stock version of the vehicle in question does on that dyno and then talk about the power increases/decreases in terms of percentages of stock wheel power...
If only we would all do that!

socketed chip. To update to this new code, one, would I have to send my whole ECU back WITH my stock chip to update since you are now flashing? Two, is it another $25 to get the new code or is it free since I've bought two previous code revisions. Please feel free to email me if you don't want to post! Thanks.
