what could cause my car to not coast as well?

Default what could cause my car to not coast as well?
coming down the grapevine (a 5 mile 5% downgrade) i always put it in neutral and coast...usually it builds about 15mph extra speed halfway down the hill...tonight, it didn't do that. any ideas why? some new source of friction or something? or could wind affect it that much?
