driven around my car about 8k miles without knowing that I had very low engine oil level.
how can my engine oil dissapear ? no leaking spotted, since I park my car in same spot all the time.. the car has 12k on it.
Thank you.

engines eat up oil for the first 5-10,000 miles as they "wear-in" (like stones being smoothed by a river or ocean)
if you weren't checking the oil level often, then that is what happened
the engine burned off oil that slipped past the piston rings.
once it is broken in, the oil consumption drops dramatically.
To where, it's barely noticable at 10K mile oil change intervals
if you were checking the level often and it suddenly drank 3 quarts of oil (assuming you actually checked, with the car parked the car on level ground)
then go see the dealer
