What did APR change in the stg3 software to get their recent HP gains? I thought the

the existing code and added a little timing and out the door it went. There was a good bit of disparity between the different boxes, with H being a real slug. Just my luck that's what I have. I logged H, T, and M in my car as well as doing dyno sessions, on my dime, to have the numbers to back up my complaints when I spoke to APR.
It took that pile of data, a determination to see my car run like it was advertised to, and a helpful APR employee to make a code revision a reality. I doubt that APR has any compelling reason to revise the 5.0 code, they've already updated it once, and it runs pretty well. In the Stg3 case there were gross differences in performance between different boxes.
When my car went in for the baseline tune, the goal was to see what a fresh cut would produce. A different person did the tune, and they had the benefit of knowing what had been done before, as well as tapping into any new insight APR has gained over the years since the Stg3 software was first developed.
When you ask, what's been changed, that can only really be answered by APR's engineer who did the work. You can look at logs and see that timing is better, maybe a different AF ratio in places, and boost tweaked some, but those things are really more the result of the changes. The real changes were made internal to the code.
