I'd have to say the title "best" would belong to Bridgestone PP S02s. They're probably the
the stickiest tire you can get out there(aside from a slick). You can still purchase them from Tirerack, however be forewarned, they've got a relatively low tread rating (140 or 180 IIRC). They're stickier than S03s, but the S03s have a better tread wear. (I am not sure if bridgestone started making them again, or if theres just left over stock @ tirerack)

I'm just picky. I've only bought the same tires twice before in my life...
...one was in the early '90's on my Celica with Yokohama A509's. The other was Dunlop SP8000's for my A4, and then later for my wife's Millenia S.
