I searched the forum and most people with early version 8 seems to have that file name, but theirs end with .07A instead of .08A. Does anyone know what the differnece is?

If the version number before the period matches it is the same chip.
If the encryption number after the period is different then a different encryption algorythm was used when the chip was encoded.
A chip with .07A encryption has to go into a decryption socket of type .07A to work in the ECU.

yours should be 143GL08X.07A which is the original version 8, not 8J in other words you have the perfect hb file granted version 5 is still the best! i wish i didnt update to version 8, i had version 5 for the longest time! oh well!

when was the last time you'vd done a pressure test? and DVs? do you have a boost gauge? if you do when you shift say from 3rd to 4th, what does the boost drop down to? in this case would be vacume. you can probably tell if you have a vacum leak or not
