what happens when u install an aftermarket radio?
does the little display in the center of the instrument cluster still work?
If not, doesn't anyone get annoyed by the blank space left on the display?

Nope, where it use to display the CD and track no longer lights up.
Actually, I don't even pay it any attention. Even when I had the stock radio, I didn't really look at it either.

Yeah, it would be nice if the display worked, but the sound I get from my new system FAR outway the loss of the station in the display. The rest of the display works fine. Basically, if you turn your factory radio off, and the top third of the display goes dark, that's what happens when you install an aftermarket HU.
