Default What the hell happened to my brakes?

Driving home from getting gas I noticed the brake pedal was going all the way to the floor to get normal braking force. I carefully drove home and at the end on a deserted straight I did two 35-0 stops and the brakes worked, but I could tell something was off. When lightly applying the brakes they slowly drifted to the floor.

So I parked. Saw fluid on the ground (the "oh sh*t" moment - since I need to drive to see family tommorow) I took the wheel off, snapped a pic. Opened the hood and snapped a pic. I put the pics at the end of this post. Fluid was also dripping over the ground. Brake fluid of course.

So what do you think it is? ABS pump, master cylinder?

Nothing I can fix today - right?

Think this would be covered under the audi assured warranty?

Thanks :-( and Merry Christmas.

pics:
sorry the fist one is rotated wrong. Its just the wheel well.

Default should be covered under warranty... i cant imagine brake mechanical items are "wear" items

i also doubt its anything you can fix now unless its a loose bleed screw or hydraulic line (which pretty much never happens)

It's hard to tell from the pics, but did you check the brake lines and confirm it didn't rupture or somehow come loose?

Default That happened when my ABS unit failed...

...on an incline I couldn't keep my car still without using the parking break or clutch because after a couple seconds the pedal would work its way down to the floor.

Default The whole ABS control unit...

...I drove mine 300 miles home from out of town that way. I was just careful. It's a $1000+ repair by the time the part's purchased (new prices).
