this is my setup..
i have a 2000 S4...
NonBose, all running from the stock deck.
Fronts: Diamond Audio Hex S500 5.25 fronts
Rear: Adire Koda 6
Sub: IDQ 10 D2 v3
AMP: HiFonice Zeus 5 Channel.
I am looking to trade my IDQ Sub for the IDQ10 D4 if you are ever thinking of getting a sub and want a 2Ohm. Its 4 months old, but i just installed it 1 month ago, cuz i just got the box for it. but i just realized i need a 4ohm sub for my amp. doh.

I'm bypassing the Bose EQ (De-Bose), using 2 Amps. to drive Bose Speakers + Aftermarket Sub...
Sub is located on the rear seat's back, replacing the ski bag, woofer pointing inside.

OZ separates up front. Couple MB Q's in the rear doors. Custom......
dual sub fiberglass box in the rear wall of the trunk. Pulled the lining out and put the sub enclosure there.
2 ARC Audio amps with a power distro below the rear deck.
It's nice having a litte brother "in the business."
One of these days, I'll yank the stock head out and throw an Eclipse in.

Q series are the only MB Quarts to get IMO.
I've been around car audio since the earllllllly 90s. The old 1" tweets back in the day would wear your ears out.
I have Q series from 2002 (not the QSDs, the QMs the model year before fosgate got in there) and I love them. I believe MBQs are a little more critical in the aiming and tuning than other speakers. Speakers are just like a homebrew stage 3. Gonna need some tweaking, not plug and play. Most of the time the systems with MBQs that sound bad to me are the ones with the lower lines, poor aiming, amplification and tune. The only MBQs I like are the Qs though. I also have Premium series in the Corrado. THey are "ok", but the PSDs are better than the PSC. The rubber surround on the edge of the tweeter in the PSD help soften them a good bit. Didn't like the PSCs at all. If I can't find me a set of the old Qs for the C, then I might throw some Focals or Diamond HEXs in there for the heck of it.
