max boost is not defined by one thing. There are going to be many variables that determine what the "max boost" is going to be. Also, there's the max boost of the turbocharger and max boost of what you'd want to run on your car safely.
The second part, what you'd want to run on your car, is going to depend on quite a few things including IC's, ambient air temp, octane, timing, fueling, MAF limitations, ect...
For example, if you were to run 2 bar on K04's to redline, you're not going to be running the turbos very efficienty and the reliability factor is going to be decreased. Depending on tuning and other factors, you may see more power with a lower boost setting.
