Default What parts of our S4's are susceptible to EMP damage besides the ECU?

The stereo, the climate control, and the trip computer are not things I'm not concerned with. What about things like electronic pedal control, throttle body, coil packs, etc. -- the things you really need to drive?

I knew we should have kept the old diesel. It's all about mechanical injection.

Default Just want to be able to get the hell away from fallout if need be...

...having no basement, I don't think my house would provide a very good shelter.

Default ...but what parts on our cars has those?

I think I can protect my spare ECU if need be and then swap it out if I had to.

Default Ok...forget the old 'stang...an old diesel truck it is...

Apparently, even the simple ignition system of a pre-computer age car would be effected.
