Sorry. I'm refering to the engine temp. gauge which sits in the bottom left corner of the instrument panel--The gauge which reads 250 degrees at 12 o'clock.

The situation is: on average what should the temp. read. This is basically the case after pretty standard driving conditons (a little stop and go mixed with some open stretches, at a little over a half an hour at a time).

I believed the coolant should remain below the middle, if not dominantly towards cool.

That's the oil temperature gauge.. ~215 is where mine likes to sit.
