It is. It's painted plastic...like your bumper.

Are you sure it's plastic? I thought I remember it feeling metallic underneath the paint...

Default That is a good looking car. Like the S8 wheels. I use carnuba(WaxShop)

on that piece and the door window mouldings as well to keep them black fwiw. Keeps the rubber pliable as well.

Default it just takes the oxidation off, but comes out kind of shiney. i find that if i wash it after it's

just black (tm).

plus it gets on the surrounding paint and glass and makes a greasy smear. so i always try to do it before i wash.

Default i thought he meant the rubber at the very bottom of that. which now that i think about it is

attached to the doors... (edit, wrong again, there are two pieces down there i was thinking about, both rubber, one set on the doors, and one on the bottom of the B-pillar)

wax that painted piece which is color matched to my car. :-D
