Default What size tire should I run on a 17x8.5 SSR Comp wheel with..
stock suspension?

I currently have 225/45 on them but am thinking of going to a 245/40.

My current tires are Kumho MX's but the new tires will be P Zero Nero M&S.

Default 225/45R17 if you want your speedo to read right, or you could try 235/40R17 since your at stock
height, but your speedo might read a little off. It really depends on what tire you get, since they all seem to be different widths. I just got some BFG KDW2's and they are wider than most, so 225/45R17 was the best size for me.

Default Based on my calculations..
A 235/45 is 1.4% taller than stock height.

A 245/40 is 1.03% shorter than stock height.

I figured the 245/40 would have less Speedo variation as well as giving a small (probably not noticeable) gearing advantage.

I was just concerned with the width aspect possibly causing some rubbing issues of the 245 on the car.

preferrably no bends, but with curb rash to lower the price

Default Sorry, I didn't read the 245 part the first time. You could try it, might rub once in a while
on hard turns.
