I heard the NJ officers will be reprimanded if they let someone off just because they possess a PBA card.

However, i think the prize goes to Staten Island's Highway Patrol. If they pull you over, you are getting a ticket. Period. Even if you yourself, are a police officer.

Default I have gotten pulled over 3 times since purchasing my S4

By NJ SP, and haven't not recieved one moving violation. Of course they have given me other troubles (Tint Tickets in place) but I'll take them.

Default I don't know about toughest but the NJ state police have the reputation with other

state police as being one of the best trained, most disciplined units. And yes, when I lived in NJ, if I got stopped by a trooper, I got a ticket ... no ifs, ands, or buts. Period.

Kinda. Better to have them than to not have them. Saved my butt once.

Default Could be NJSP

Son was driving a friends 540I and was pulled over (he was speeding about 5mph over limit) Cop let him go on the speeding, but ticketed him for an obstructed rear view mirror. There was a pine scented deodorizer (little tree) hanging from it. I think one way or another they will ticket you for something!
I've never heard of them letting anyone go scott free.

Default Re: I'm glad I got out of NJ

I'd say NJ. More tickets when I lived there than anywhere else.
I've always said they should change the text on the licence plates from "The Garden State" to "The Police State"

Next worst is the NJ DMV. If the military accidentally dropped an armed nuke on the DMV HQ and took it out, along with the rest of Trenton, I'd be a happy guy, even though I haven't lived there since 1983
