Default The ECU saw a MAP signal outside of the expected range (not sure what that range is).

Its an intermittent code which means that it happened at least once but isn't continuously happening.

My suggestion would be to clear the code and see if it comes back. If it does, you most likely have a faulty MAP sensor. If not, it was probably just a fluke thing.

Default Perhaps a bad circuit (open or short), corrosion on connector, or sensor just plain bad.

How often do you see this? Have you checked the VAG block 115 (basically a translation of the boost sensor reading from the analog voltage signal)?

Hmm I don't think it throws a code for that actually (speaking from people who have done it!)

agreed...1.5 bar+(the limit) never set a code...just cuts your throttle
