What would cause a throw out bearing to go bad 2 or 3 times in 30k miles?

away after you had it all apart, replaced TOB and put it back? Was anything else changed while open? was the PP reset? Or is it pinned? How long ago (miles) was the PP installed?
And since you're saying you used a stock TOB, I assume you do not have this style PP, right?

Its a SPEC stage 2, and i've been using....or trying to use stock TOBs. I'm going to try the 034 Metal units, if indeed it is the TOB that has failed again.
The first one, which failed completely had the TOBs visually damaged. The one that was replaced during the tranny rebuild was visually worn. I don't think it was the actual bearings that seized, it was more external destruction...lol
