id think that'd cause more of a 'grenade' effect than having the shaft actually sieze.

Default well, mine siezed then proceeded to grenade. i heard it stop spinning with a quiet "pfftt"...

then anytime i got on teh gas at all...you hear an unearthy shriek as air TRIES to get between the blades and the housing...
i kept driving and it eventaully grenaded and I had spy hunter smoke...

as to the cause...excessive shaft polay probably caused it.

Default IIRC, the comp wheels on your K04s looked a bit odd - were they fresh, out of the box BW K04s, or

had they been worked on?

Default i bought a blown pair of ko4's from ed at induktion, bc their were no

ko4's to be sourced in the US at the time. i had them worked on by majestic turbo and ordered brand new ko4 cartridges for them, had the turbos built and were installed in the car and ran them for two tenths of a mile and they seized.

i'm just trying to brain storm on why or what may have caused them to seize in such a short amount of time.
