a bit hotter using M1 0w-30 and the dino crap 10w-30 my dealer puts in when they do an oil change, but never equal to or over 250, only about 240 at the highest (street use, high 90's ambient, AC on). If I'm driving highway at like 70-80 mph, the oil temp is definitely 5-10 deg hotter than when I drive city streets. It does seem that there are slight normal variations in sensors/instrument panel readouts for these gauges - my fuel gauge works differently now that I had my instrument panel replaced by dealer - same sending unit.

...that's in Houston summer heat with K04's, downpipes and M1 0w40. I might see 230ish if I've really been getting on it for a while. 240+ is now something I only see at the track.

... and I'm not even running synth right now because the dealer uses 5W30 dino and I forgot to supply the Mobil at last service interval.
I've given the car some good blasts in the mid-day heat and my guage has yet to hit 250°, with normal operating temps of 225-240.
