once the engine was hot it was nice, that injector has very good idle characteristics, but the pattern is wrong.

supposidly (according to my etka) they are the make of the original S4 units and I found a bunch or higher flowing replacements online. they even make a shorty style like the RS4 unit.

Even if they are a little taller, that makes it easier to just raise the fuel rail like with greentops

haven't had the time.... here is the info on the Higher flowing Siemens units. also, is there a limit as to what is too much flow? these are 55 @ 3 bar (43.5 psi). would taht just be way too much fuel moving in there or will the computer back it off? I've heard both sides on this (shiv from Vishnu says that up to 70 lb injectors can be used on a WRX and that the system just auto adjusts) many other posts I've read say otherwise....

The Siemens '3172' is able to operate at a higher pressure and duty cycle than most other high-Z injectors.

this injectors look very interesting as well.... it is a shorty style (ala RS4) and according to the website I snagged the dimesions from, it has a wide fan pattern (also similar to the RS4) best part is they are $50 a piece. 60 lb/hr , high impedance.

for example, the Delphi 37 and 42 lb (prob one of them is what you used) is listed as having an difffent type of spray pattern than anything else:
