What's the story on buying side view mirrors for the S? .. Someone hit my drivers mirror yesterday..

Default What's the story on buying side view mirrors for the S? .. Someone hit my drivers mirror yesterday..
it isn't in bad shape but it is cracked .. rather than buying a new set of these M3 mirrors i'd like to get the aluminum S4 mirrors .. is that possible?

there usually are some on US eBay too. just watch out for the plastic "caps" and not the real alum.

Default It looks like all I find are chrome COVERS .. is that what they are anyway?....
what i mean is, if I bought regular A4 mirrors, I can then pop out the back and replace with the chrome or aluminum ones? ..

Yes, they're just covers but made of metal. The non-OEM ones are plastic

Default Yes, my pass. side one got cracked because I drove too close to a tree branch. Replaced with alum.
mirror housings. Just need self tapping screws to mount them.
