whats up with my gas tank
ok im embarrased to admit it but i ran out of gas
this weekend. after putting in 1 gal to get to the nearest gas station i could only fit 13.5 in my tank. this confuses me, i thought the 01 s4 sedan should hold 16.4 gallons. am i wrong?

You are correct sir...it should take more gas. Do you have the OEM gas cap on there?
I know that VW/Audis are very sensitive to proper tank venting. A friend of mine had a Passat that did not have the OEM gas cap and the tank imploded!

Others have a similar problem, perhaps some model year 2000's have a 15.5 gallon gas tank.
