wheel loose even after tightened to 89 ft-lb....

i remembered seeing someone had a simlar problem a few weeks ago but can't remember who. swapping out my winter wheels and putting on summer wheels and noticed driver side front wheel is still lose after tightening. plase help!!!

Sure it isn't the wheel bearing or control arms or tie rod end?
Or if they are aftermarket wheels, did you remember to install the hub centering ring?

found the problem. turned out to be rust in the rotor as well as the after market bolts that sat in the box since last oct. till today. i was able to tighten to 89 ft-lb but it wasn't holding the wheel against the hub for some reason, very strange, maybe torque wrench needs recalibrating. some cleaning of the bolts and rotor did the trick. it was weird the last 5 bolts left all had too much rust. i thought i had broken something.

We had this happen on our 01 S4. spacer plates and lug bolts too long with spacers removed. What a mess to get straightened out. Les Schwab created. Discount sorted out. guess who gets our next tire dollars?
