Default When removing the center vent, How do you remove the wiring(unplug) them from the vent .....

I would like to remove the entire assembly so i can start cut it to make a custom pod out of it. Any suggestions or should i just cut the wiring and splice it back together later?

Default from what I remember, there's a lot of tape/adhesive and the wires are really wrapped all around

that unit. I think you can detach the wires permanently if you're careful and take your time though.

Default ?? mine just had very little slack and a 'foam sheath'....

there wasn't a connector visible. After I cut the wires, I saw they go right into the vent housing. What tape?

Default I remember something that you could remove it if you were careful. I thought there was black cloth

tape covering the wires around the unit??

I think he is talking about the tape that secures the wiring to the top of the vent

AWE tuning has a good how-to for installing a center vent boost gauge.

I completely dis-assembled the center vent. It is hard wired. Need to cut the wires.
