Where can I get a decent floor jack
After investing in winter wheels and tires for the S4, I found it to be a great pain in the a** to go to the local tire store to have the wheels changed over. I have to take 2 cars to the tire store because the winter wheels are dirty and do not fit in the trunk of one car. Also in the time it takes me to wait, I could have done it myself.
So where can I find a good, safe floor jack? I don't like using the jack supplied with the car.
What brand to get? How much?
Thanks

I got mine at a local auto parts store...
It's some no-name brand made in some third world country, but it works great and only cost $25. Just make sure the piece that contacts the car has notches in it; the jack point (ridge) under the car will fit perfectly and safely in the notch. HTH.

Dodo Drew was a dufus when lifting an A4
I did a stupid thing with my A4 the first time I jacked it up. I used wood blocks only on the metal lip at the jackpoints. Right after the wheel was up off the ground, the metal lip got crushed into the frame. Not all the way in but some.

I use a 2 ton cheapie jack from Schucks.....
and I use a device called a "Trolley-Jack Block" from the JCWhiney catalog. The part number is 81DK3278A Price is $ 5.99...I only ordered 1 and shipping was $10...lol. It works great though. Its shaped like a cube and fits on top of the jack and inbetween the jackpoint. On the top of the jack-block has 2 cuts that cross each other..one is thick the other is a bit thinner..and the jack point fits like a glove on either of the cuts. Just found a pic....
