Where do I get Amsoil motor oil for my S???
I'm due for my 20K maintenance tune-up....and all this talk about Mobil 1 0W-30 not being up to spec is getting me worried. Should I stick with Mobil 1 or move over to Amsoil?

Like Kent said, order off the website. Be sure to become a preferred customer for savings.
It costs $20 or something to join and you'll get some annoying mailings, but it saves a hell of a lot on the oil cost (~20% I think). I suggest buying two or three cases at a time.
For what it's worth, I switched to Amsoil Series-2000 0W30 from Mobil-1 0W30 too. IIRC my 5K and 10K oil changes were with M1 and then 15K, 20K, and 25K were with Amsoil. I would't worry too much. Mobil1 0w-30 is not up to European spec.
It meets US spec API SL. Just not the European ACEA spec. But FWIW AMSOIL is better. Here's an AMSOIL vs. Mobil1 test in the link below...and this isn't even AMSOIL's top-of-the-line Series 2000 oil.
