Where is the logic in shining a flood light in the drivers eyes by the police?

....that someone was endagering the public and driving in a car made up as a police cruiser. Hit the brakes hard (if safe) and get the number. If he/she/**** pulls you over, you're already on the phone with 911, and tell the officer to hold on, you're on the phone with the REAL police, and roll your window back up. If he's still there when you're done, tell him that someone should be on the way (I didn't get the chance for that last part - the bastard took off).
I had one do a similar stunt a few years ago (ran so close behind me for 2 miles that I couldn't see his headlights over the top of the trunk - in a Miata!). He couldn't leave me alone fast enough. Yeah, I've got a bit of a problem with these armed egomaniacs with badges (as I've stated here before), but with too many reasons. Watch your back.

...and no the Mustang didn't even have any lights on (i.e., was running dark), and I watched him do this for a half mile or so before I exited. I think that particular officer had a reputation for being a total ******* in the area.

I would have popped the brakes. I certainly had time to think about it, but didn't want to go through setting up another car that way, even if it WAS going to be a new one courtesy of the Ft. Worth PD. I still miss that car (2300lb car with ~200 intercooled hp. Sighhh).

...I think I got 5 or 6 tickets, including 2 at the exact same trap (westbound on Berry Street just past TCU heading toward Hulen there's a stopsign and then about a 100 foot drop down a hill that will naturally give an automobile 28mph of acceleration, but it's still a 35mph zone) a year apart, in 4 years there from FWPD. I also was followed and had seen them following way too many cars in that time.
