I've only had my car for a couple weeks, so I'm still getting used to it. Its a 2001.5 tip, stock.
One thing I've noticed is it doesn't feels zippy at low speeds, unless I almost floor the throttle. Where's that massive 258lb/ft torque thats supposed to be there at 1850 rpm ??
Above 70mph, I have gobs of torque and effortless acceleration. But I want that 'put me back in the seat' feeling all the time. I can't really explain it but the car felt faster during the test drive.
I know I'll get replies along the lines of 'chip it you fool' but does anyone else feel the same way?

Common causes include broken bypass valves (BPV), torn throttle body boot (TBB), torn intercooler hoses, etc.
In my personal experience my stock TBB started leaking adn the car felt dead. I replaced it with a Samco TBB and it was good for a day, then the car felt dead again. It turned out that the Samco had backed off the throttle body. I loosened the clamps to the intercooler pipes and made sure it was snuggly clamped on the throttle body before tightening the IC pipe clamps again. Voila, it was perfect. I now have an APR bipipe and no longer worry about that area![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I also recently had a broken check valve underneath the PCV thing sticking out of the Y-pipe, which made my car drive like utter crap. I'm not sure what purpose it serves, but that might be something to check too.
If you have an air compressor with adustable output give the AWE pressure tester a try. Its $15 well spent.
