Default while in 6th gear, with the rpm's at about 2.5, I floor the gas...

and the rpm's go up to 3k then drop down, then go back up.

feels like it cuts power then resumes boosting...any ideas? diverter valves? but they usually make a noise after coming off the gas if that were the problem.

I think I read someone else posting a similar situation but can't find the thread.

TIA!!

Default what causes that to happen?

just curious how a worn clutch causes the power loss?

and I only notice it while in chip mode.

thanks.

Default It doesn't cut power. The chip's extra torque makes the clutch slip so the engine revs freely...

then the clutch "catches" the engine and that's probably the cut you're feeling.

It only happens in chip mode because of the added torque. Your clutch is on its way out. Sorry bud.

Default just got off the phone with induktion...and so..here I go again.

the car is actually accelerating while the rpms are going up, I may have described the problem incorrectly.

Mat, feels it may be a boost leak...because the car begins to boost, then it cuts back. so wihle the RPMs are rising, the car is accelerating...he mentioned if the RPM's were going up but the car wasn't then it would be the clutch...

sorry for the confusion, but would this still be the clutch??

Default If it's a boost leak --the boost will go up and down but if the rpms go up then drop down, it's the

clutch.

If your RPMs "drop down" (those are your words), then your clutch is slipping, bottom line.

Default I don't think..

it's a boost leak I just had that same problem back in september of this year. I would be in 4th gear at 2500 rpm and accelerate to 55 mph and it would drop down. It is clutch. I recomend getting an rs4 clutch or stage 3. I paid about 3100 for a new clutch and installation. (STOCK CLUTCH) Could have gotten a much better deal. I did not have a chip in the car when the clutch went

clutch. Get the RS4 clutch and a new stock flyweel.
