Example is a cold morning and white smoke (this is steam) coming from your exhaust...
from water in your exhaust. Then take a look at your exhaust tips. Mine have black powder all over them from the engine running a little rich (unburnt fuel). Probably due to the chip.

the b5 s4 runs rich on cold start so thats normal chip or not. My dad taught me that so must have..
been more indicative of older vehicles than newer ones. I have always known the other two colors designations
