I have 850 front and 1200 rear. It is a firm ride but IMO the Ohlins are so good they can handle it. The really big bumps are the ones that can be a little rough. My wife likes the ride in the S4 more then my old RS6... she does understand what she is looking for as she has been tracking cars for almost 4 years and is an instructor.

Not at all, the B6/B7 chassis can take the bigger spring rates... I have 700/1000 on my B7
and it is fantastic. The ride is very compliant and yet very track-able. Infact Jen was giving a Cayman a hard time at T-hill in it.

996!?@*%..I hate the way that car looks..Come on man its a 993tt...
and the worst part is trying to get excitement from an S4 that weighs more and has less power after driving my 993tt.
