Doesn't your warranty get voided if you do not go in for scheduled service?

Default Yes.

Or rather they can if they want. Magnuson-Moss's warranty provisions that you have the right to do the service somewhere other than the dealer do not apply, because there is no charge for the service from the dealer.

If Audi wanted to be hardass about it, changing the oil yourself could be cause to void the warranty.

Default I've never swapped ECUs - even when my tranny broke.

never had a problem...

Then again, I don't try to hide the fact that I'm modded like crazy

Is that really all that is envolved with these free services...just a basic oil change?

Default Doubtful. Dealer dependant and would only be an issue IF there were some failure

that was caused with an oil change like - leaving the pan bolt loose/leaking after service, engine siezed due to no oil, using a non-audi-quality filter etc...

Default Technically, yes. My point was legally, they could for any reason.

And the dealer has no say what-so-ever in your warranty. Go open your warranty booklet. See your dealer's name in there anywhere?
